Transformers 2: The Revenge of the Fallen

transformers2_2“Fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing” these are the infamous words of Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots. This line was heard in the preview and was most likely the most memorable line in the film.

The Autobots and the Decepticons are back in the second and Michael Bay’s final installment of Transformers. Sam is on his way to college when he finds a shard of the ALLSPARK which causes his entire kitchen to transform into robots and destroy his house, they fail to succeed due to the help of Bumble bee. The shard causes Sam to start envisioning symbols and having a mental melt down during class, ultimately leading him to a cemetery to speak to Optimus. Megatron is resurrected and is on a Mission to find a weapon which steals suns, the location is only known to one person, Sam — but even Sam does not know how to find it. The location of the weapon takes them to the desert of Egypt where the greatest battle of Man and Robot vs. Robot takes place.

Their are plenty of details I left out of the plot because I do not believe in spoiling a movie. This movie has received a lot of bad press on the WWW. People have said it’s a 150 minute U.S. Army commercial, which is total crap. People said it was annoying to see so much U.S. forces involvement. I’m not sure who they would expect to defend us if THIS REALLY HAPPENED! Anyway, the CGI and effects were amazing in this and the robots looked really awesome. It was very cool to see them bring back some of the older robots from the series and how they fell into the story. I don’t really have anything negative to say about this movie, I found it fun and action packed. I will warn you due to language, do not take your young children to see this – profanity was flying around quite freely.

I am not entirely sure if I liked this one better than the first, either way they both kicked ass and I give this a 10/10.
