A few weeks ago I received an e-mail from a member of CigarAsylum.com saying that he represented Bucanero Cigars and would like to “sponsor” my birthday HERF with some free cigars from the company. I was certain this was some sort of a joke or scam and either this guy was yanking my leg, or IF he was legit which I doubted the company would want something crazy from me in return, such as my lungs or my pancreas.
Well it turns out all that Bucanero wanted from me is to join their forum over at CigarPirate.com and share some photos of the event. I think that is more than fair and a very nice gesture considering they plan to send me some of their cigars to share with my guests free of charge. I’ve never had a cigar from Bucanero Cigars but I am interested in them and nobody seems to carry them including the shops which employ me.
Everyone keeps joking how I am a baller now and got a sponsored HERF. Rest assured I am far from a baller and just am lucky enough to have a company take interest in my Annual Birthday HERF. I really could not be happier with their interest in the event and I know this will only aide in yet another successful birthday HERF.
A special thanks to Tom for contacting me and Bob and Kathy of Bucanero Cigars for the nice gesture. I’ve never known anyone else to have a HERF which a company “sponsored” with cigars and I know my guests will enjoy their offerings and greatly appreciate their generosity.
