I am sure everyone knows Mother’s Cookies, especially those of us from California. Mother’s Cookies originated in 1914 and unfortunately went out of business in late 2008/early 2009. Why do I say unfortunate? Because they made my favorite cookies in the world (as far as packaged cookies go) and I remember when I read about it online, I must have whined to Danielle about it for an hour.
The other day I was at Target after Jury Duty and I headed down the cookie aisle. I was looking and I noticed they had Oreos, Chips Ahoy, and other cookies including some shit Target brand with pantry in the name. Blah. No thanks I said. It was then at that moment when I believe a portal opened from Heaven and light shined down on an entire row of Mother’s Cookies. I could not believe my eyes, there were my favorite cookies (Iced Oatmeal) with a tag that read something like “Your favorites are BACK!”
Man, was I excited. I could not believe my eyes. I snatched a package off the shelf and almost grabbed two, at that point I felt like Smeagol from the Lord of the Rings series and the package was my ring. I hurried down the aisle and to the checkout; I could not wait to text Danielle and share the news. Now I am glad to be able to share the news with you.
Man, that was a total fat kid post.
