I nearly lost it.

It took everything for me to turn away and not side walk slam him.

I’m so fucking tired of people shitting on me around here.  I’m going to follow up on the job I applied for at Whole Foods on Monday.

There is a small amount of people probably around 2% who are new to cigars and have recognized the generosity of fellow BOTL’s (Brothers of the Leaf) and have chosen to exploit it.  This happens specifically on cigar forums such as Cigar Asylum, BOTL, etc.  These are individuals that are often found responding to threads about a certain cigar with responses such as “Wow, I wish I could try that…” or “What does that taste like? I’d really like to try one…” and so on and so forth.

Another practice of seasoned BOTL’s is the act of “bombing” your friends.  This is where you package up some sticks you enjoy or they enjoy and fire it off to an un-suspecting friend.  It’s a really nice gesture, it feels good to get bombed and even better to bomb.  However these same individuals who try to fish for free sticks using the previous method also fish for bombs.  They do so by putting their address as their location on the forum; posting comments like “Wow, I wish someone would bomb me with sticks like that” or when someone posts an incoming bomb they say stuff like “Oh man….I better get a new mailbox”.  Nobody said the bomb was for you, dipshit.

Why am I ranting about this you might ask? I am ranting because this is a BS moocher behavior.  These guys are not bombing people or sending guys sticks, they’re just here to try to get free shit.  They’re a drain on the BOTL way and it’s just an overall scummy practice.  So this is for all the mooch MF’s out there fishing for free cigars, if you sit back and enjoy the community, make some friends, send some sticks, and show you’re a BOTL, you will be rewarded with a great circle of friends, who may share some sticks with you.  If you continue to be a mooch, fisherman, or typical loser, you won’t get shit from BOTL’s other than the cold shoulder.

I decided to take a COMM 001 class for summer and that proved to make me pretty busy most days.  I was in class from 0700 to 1020 M-TH and that didn’t count the time I had to invest in reading, studying, and writing speeches.  All in all it was a great class, I got an A+ in the class.  Too bad the + does not show up on my transcript.

Aside from class I also had work and family obligations so naturally this blog took the FAR back seat, behind everything else more important.  Class does not start again until the end of August and for this semester I am taking Algebra (I’m a math retard), Business 001, and Microeconomics 001.  A full load of business classes totally 13 credits for this semester.  Nice!

Recently Danielle and I took a day trip to Disneyland.  We had a blast.  We got to ride almost every ride we wanted as well as eat at the Blue Bayou, inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride (thanks Bill!).  We also went to House of Blues and for $54 we got a drink and a shot each.  NEVER AGAIN!!!!

We recently saw Despicable Me.  This movie is AWESOME! The characters are great, the story is great, and I was LOL’ing through most of the movie.  Sometimes I would be the only one laughing though, haha.

That’s basically all I’ve been up to, over the last month I have neglected the Lodge and Shrine, due to schedule, but I’ll be back this month.

I get in the center lane and this CHP cruiser whips into the next lane over and next to me. He’s keeping pace with me (which isn’t much, maybe 25 MPH) and I hear “Hey Brother…..HEY Brother.”

I look over and he says “Where did you get those Mason symbols on your car?”

I tell him they can be bought in San Carlos. He says he cannot hear me. So I say “Let’s pull over and I’ll tell you.”

We pull over and he’s next to me and asking me about Masons telling me his Father in law is a 33? and currently lives in Mexico. He asks me if I am a Mason and then tells me that Masons run the world, he’s done the research.

He wants to bring him some Masonic stuff so I gave him Lindenbergs number and address in San Carlos. He drives off and so do I.

Not really that exciting of a blog, but interesting none the less.

I’m getting ready to finish up the semester and on 6/7 I start the summer semester in school. I’m taking Intro to communication, public speaking. I’m pretty good at public speaking so it should be cake.

I am also working on a paper that seems to be consuming my mind like nothing else. I’m doing an I-Search paper which is research meets commentary, it’s a pain in the ass. I’ve written it and re-written it and I either have too many facts or too much commentary. It’s due Monday, I’m hoping to finish it tomorrow. We will see.

On the bright side, my Mom bought me a brand new MacBook Pro this weekend. I told her I would pay her back when I got my equipment allowance from the VA, but her and my step Dad said no. It was super nice of her to get it for me, it’s an awesome machine.

In June I am going to Reno for a big Shrine ceremonial with the Reno Shriners, it should be a lot of fun. I was hoping that I was taking my candidate, but he decided to move on that day, lame.

I saw Iron Man 2 this weekend and I typically post a full review, but I don’t really feel like it. It was a good movie, but it was not as epic as the original.

Anyway, the Giants game is on, back to baseball!
